The men's section at Mount Pleasant is the biggest of all the sections allowing for a very fluent and active section. There are various different competitions held every month, all day medal/stablefords are held on the 2nd weekend of each month and our monthly medals are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month, there are also various singles and pairs matchplay competitions to take part in.
The club plays in the Bedfordshire County Golf Union summer scratch league, playing against 4 other teams from the county. As well as the scratch team the club also play in the Bedfordshire County Mid-Handicap league, again playing against 4 other clubs from the region.
The Men also play a number of friendly matches against other clubs. These Saturday morning matches are open to all handicaps and are the perfect way to play competitive golf in a relaxed and fun environment. If social golf is your thing then we offer the chance to take part in our weekly club night evening, held every Wednesday from the beginning of April through to the end of September, this is a roll up format with a fun competition played every week, although the first Wednesday of every month is a qualifying competition for handicap, this is a great way to meet new members whilst playing a fun round of golf.
The majority of the men's section play on weekend mornings and there are always friendly roll ups that you can become involved with so there’s plenty of golf to be played!
For more information regarding the men's section please email the men's captain, Mr Jay Macanaspie on firstname.lastname@example.org

Ladies 9 hole qualifying competitions are usually held on the third Thursday of the month (April to September). Some ladies medal competitions and some club monthly medals may also be designated as EG ladies medals. By playing in at least 4 EG medals in a year, a member may qualify to play in regional finals the following year.
