Men's Golf

The men's section at Mount Pleasant is a very fluent and active section. There are various different competitions held every month and singles and pairs matchplay competitions to take part in.

The club plays in the Bedfordshire County Golf Union summer scratch league, playing against 4 other teams from the county.  As well as the scratch team the club also play in the Bedfordshire County Mid-Handicap league.

The Men also play a number of friendly matches against other clubs. These matches are open to all handicaps and are the perfect way to play competitive golf in a relaxed and fun environment.

The majority of the men's section play on weekend mornings and there are always friendly roll ups that you can become involved with so there’s plenty of golf to be played!

Ladies Golf

Our ladies section is one of the most welcoming and friendly section around and they are always looking to welcome new members. Whether you are an experienced golfer or new to the game the ladies would love you to join them for a few holes and sometimes, more importantly, coffee, cake and a chat.

The ladies  section offers both competitive and social golf, Thursday is Ladies morning at Mount Pleasant and the tee is reserved from 9.30 to 10.30 where golfers of all abilities can turn up and play either 9 or 18 holes in a relaxed environment, a fun competition is held every week.

The ladies have a very active fixture list as well, playing friendly matches, both home and away, against other clubs in the region. As well as friendly matches, the ladies also take part in Bedfordshire County Shield matches.

Its not just about golf though, there are various social events too such as pamper evenings and our very popular Royal Ascot Afternoon Tea.

Seniors Golf

Mount Pleasant is home to a very active senior section which welcomes all those members over the age of 55. The Seniors meet on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 7.45am for a ‘Roll Up’ Competition, where everyone gets a game regardless of ability. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new members as well as make new friends.

There is a stableford competition played on the 1st Tuesday of every month and a medal competition on the last Friday of every month. Regular fixtures take place against other clubs in the area which, whilst being competitive, are played in an extremely friendly and jovial environment.

Regular competitions are held throughout the year. The formats of these vary from monthly medals/stablefords to pairs competitions, texas scrambles, all day medals/stablefords, winter and summer knockouts and major events (competitions with cups/shields and honour boards).
